Meet the Experts: Avangard

Trading Floor | Wednesday, April 22, 2020 10:10 AM GMT

Avangard is a neural trading algorithm, created by a team of developers and trading specialists.
Avangard uses chaos, fractals, waves, and other mathematical tools in order to produce thousands of possible ways of decision making and re-adjusts those parameters by a self-learning algorithm.
Avangard uses various tools of money management, thus it will be mandatory for investors to use the PRO-RATA mode in order to benefit the most of this strategy (kindly review the USD graphs). The team has integrated three trading systems on the platform. Avangard I and Avangard II (imported history of 106 weeks) are correlated while Avangard Light is not associated with them. Therefore users should carefully review the Recommended Settings of the strategies.
In two years Avangard IΙ has produced over 300% with a maximum drawdown of 35% and a P&L of 67.000$.

Let's meet its Co-Founder and read about his trading experience at ZuluTrade.

  • Tell us about your trading background and how you got started trading.

I am Abdoulkader ABDI, Co-founder of the Avangard trading systems, economist (Macroeconomics). I started my career in Fx in 2011, I had the chance to work with big brokerage firms and this is when I started trading Fx. Even though I had the necessary knowledge & experience, the odds were against me.
I’ll tell you how it happened—because it happened to me, many times. The real world of trading and the textbook world of trading are two completely different things. You need to be ready for that reality or you run a very big risk of being the one who makes up part of the statistics.
That being said, I started working on myself as a trader. It’s amazing to have the rights skills, knowledge and experience but if you aren’t disciplined and without a plan you are just increasing the statistics of losers.
To sum up my trading experience, it was a long path and later on I shifted into automation in order to improve my trades and remove all emotions.
With automated trading solution, I succeeded finally to apply a proper risk-management & this is when Avangard A.I solution came into action.

  • When did you first discover ZuluTrade? What was it about ZuluTrade that got your interest?

I discovered ZuluTrade, when I started my career in FX.
One of the best things about ZuluTrade, is the capability to bring together strategies’ providers and investors. On top of your technology & capability, what really triggered my interest & attention was the Risk parameters tools & transparency you have in place.

  • Give us the basic structure of your strategy.

The Avangard AI software system, which has been running for the last 4 years (since 2016), uses a proprietary neural network that analyses market's depth and looks for patterns of pre-set mathematical models (such as fractals, chaos and waves) that allows it to understand and forecast market's trends on a real-time basis (in fact it is a trending program). The initial trading software was developed to underpin our own trading strategies as an automated risk management solution.
o   By feeding the network with pre-set data, the system creates its own real-time strategies to achieve the established objectives.

o   In only milliseconds, our system can choose the most appropriate strategy among more than 30,000 options in every single market condition.

o   During this non-stop analysis, research and optimization process, all new movements and patterns are stored to be used in up-coming scenarios, helping solve future market situations.

Hence, it learns from its own mistakes and successfully solves the problems posed.

  • What’s your trade management approach – taking profit and exits, trade size and account- level risk management?

Seeing clearly visible opportunities we developed the system into a fully-fledged automated trading software solution which could be used by traders to minimize risk in their trading activity.
This can be adjusted at any time depending on client’s expectations and risk appetite. We have 3 levels of risk: low (10% DD) / moderate (15% DD) / high (30% DD).

  • How can your followers get the best by your strategy?

Our focus will be simple: try and achieve up to 3 -4% return on a monthly basis whilst maintaining risks managed. Should the markets be volatile enough, we can surpass that percentage.

  • How do you feel when you have a good and a bad trade? How are you dealing with this?

As a trader, its normal to have good and bad days in trading. If you refer to our audited results, last year in February 2019 we had a negative month, and manual intervention was needed as part of the strict risk management in place. Accounts were overexposed considering the available equity and we decided to manual intervene to guarantee capital preservation. As a result, we spoke with our AI and machine learning development team and implemented our risk-first policy to a higher degree and created CEPODV2 our second version if the Avangard trading software.

  • Finally, if you could give some advice for the aspiring traders out there, what would it be?

Artificial Intelligence is transforming the FX Market. Today, the advanced AI algorithms, capable of complex machine learning are so widely used. Trillions in Forex trades are already being decided through A.I. We developed the system into a fully-fledged automated trading software solution which could be used by investors to minimize risk in their trading activity. As Forex trading and other financial markets become more reliant on AI, it’s time to join this Revolution of trading. Let our intelligent self-correcting predictive tools & A.I automated solution do the rest.

That was all from Avangard. More Traders' Interviews to follow...Stay Tuned!

Trading spot currencies involves substantial risk and there is always the potential for loss. Your trading results may vary. Because the risk factor is high in the foreign exchange market trading, only genuine "risk" funds should be used in such trading. If you do not have the extra capital that you can afford to lose, you should not trade in the foreign exchange market. Forex Brokers and ZuluTrade are compensated for their services through the spread between the bid/ask prices or there may be a cost to initiate a trade through the bid/ask spread. Signing up is totally free, and there is NO contract and NO monthly fees, ever.
